Have you got MSW fever?

Everyone is getting ready for the most important event of the year, MSW. We all like to think we've got a chance to win. However, what we don't put into consideration is that this is just one of Stardoll's stunts to get us to give them money. Just like making us wait for LE, when they know that people will spend actual money.

To some people MSW is a chance for them to shine, but getting into the semi-finals or the finals isn't easy because people always say they have voted, but the reality is they haven't. So how do you win MSW? You have to be able to spend money on broadcasts, make your doll and suite amazing and give people a reason to vote for you. Getting through as a non-superstar is extremely difficult. I'm not saying it's impossible, just difficult.

Wig Duplicating: Why do they do it?

Wig duplicating is a form of hacking/cheating which involves using proxies like Charles Proxy to duplicate designer wigs. I personally find it sickening that someone could copy a wig that someone must have worked so hard on. And it's happening left, right and center. Hany.babe copies all the wigs he has despite saying all the wigs he makes are original. Not to mention his doll looks crap like most wig duplicators.

Pictured is a Viivian wig (it's even on her presentation) that has the designer label saying hany.babe, so there's your proof.

What do you think? I think this has to stop, it's ridiculous!

Who lies behind the screen?

We've all logged in one day only to find a friend request from these level 1 members. They 'offer' you free stardollars and take you to this website mostly likely fake. I haven't taken the risk to visit it but I'd advise you not to. All of these accounts seem to be in the age range of 18-20 and usually low level.

But have you ever stopped and wondered who spends days and days copying and pasting the same message? These people get deleted everyday but still feel the need to make new accounts.

Why do they make these accounts? Maybe they like to troll, or to spam however we will never know since these people have not proven to be someone or even hinted. They are the ordinary start ups who are merely just taking up many usernames. Will we ever know who these people are? Maybe. However, until then Stardoll is still going to try to delete the accounts because of the multiple reports.

How far will you go for RARES?

Like I mentioned in my previous post, you are most likely addicted if you would do anything for rares! But how far will some people go?

Back in 2011, one of Stardoll's 'elites' Jenna (aka emorox4eva) , got hacked and her rares had been taken. Here are the pictures of the items which had gotten stolen.

That is a lot of items (including the wanted DKNY dress). It was a very controversial topic, with many complaining to Stardoll. The hacker behind the Italian Mafia which hacked countless members was in fact misscarla90990. People had also noticed something strange. These were all sold within a day, how is that possible? Remember Stardoll made it so it wasn't?

But would people go this far to get rares? Yes they would.

With this happening so often, can we do anything? Probably not. One tip I can give you is change your password regularly and after using a proxy. Better safe than sorry!

5 Signs You're Probably Addicted To Stardoll

We're all going to be addicted to it at some point. Stardoll. That game you just love to play. But what are the signs of addiction?

1. You put Stardoll before your homework

This may sound bad but so many do this. They may forget to do it or just choose not to. Education always comes first, however.

2. You spend real money on Stardoll

You could spend over $100 on Stardoll, or more. That's just how addicting this little game is!

3. You would do anything to get rares

Ah yes, we all need to get our hands on the DKNY Scuba Dress or that First Season LE. You could even break Stardoll's rules to get that pixel.

4. You spend more than 8 hours a day on Stardoll

Internet addiction itself is bad, but Stardoll addiction is just as bad!

5. You have more friends on Stardoll than in real life

And that is it! Are you addicted?

Spamming the broadcast: Is It Necessary?

Day on day, I have seen certain individuals 'spamming' the broadcasts. And along with that, I've seen many complaints.

But the real question is, is it okay? To spam the broadcasts for your satisfaction? I've been a victim of this, sending 3 broadcasts for people to vote me which never came through. It is fine to an extent where nobody can send a broadcast. Perhaps ten broadcasts is fine, but over fifty in a row? Definitely not!

Pros
The member spamming will get recognition and/or votes
This is a very efficient way of broadcasting

Cons
Others may complain due to their broadcasts not coming through
It costs a lot of stardollars to broadcast that much
They may even get fake reports for doing this

So what is YOUR verdict?
Is spamming the broadcast okay or not?

My Stardoll Story

Part 1: The Start
It all began on August 3rd, 2009. I was getting bored of the usual Club Penguin as my membership had ran out so I searched up a few games. The first I tried was a kids website which is now closed, and my second choice was Stardoll. I naturally made an account on both. On Stardoll my username was Skie99. Here is a picture of Skie99. I had so much fun, I never knew I would enjoy it as much as I did.

Yes I was bald, no shame!

I was surprised at how many possibilities there were on this very site! I became so dedicated that a week later I bought a Superstar membership. The first item I bought was a nice shirt from Kohl's. I felt so special because I could have anything I wanted! I made a few friends, one being Lilac07321 (Stacy) who was one of my best friends. Now, as soon as I became a Superstar, Stacy asked me if I could share my account with her. Being the silly preteen I was, I said yes. I have no idea why because what it lead to was my account Skie99 being deleted in a matter of days! Now my first account had disappeared forever, I thought why not make a new one? Now this time it was called Kiska577777.

Part 2: A whole new World

When I came back in December after being so busy, I was introduced to a whole new side of Stardoll. What you would call Dollywood. I flipped through the what seemed like endless gossip blogs and was fascinated with what I saw. Why didn't I find this earlier? I was a famewhore back then and desperately wanted to be featured but it never did happen. Now, I'm not sure if any of you remember but back then magazines like Style Magazine were very popular. They were so interesting to me that I just couldn't resist having a peek! I was featured on a cover of a magazine called Lancome Magazine, which was not very popular and died out quickly. I then tried to get my name known by hacking (or attempting to). That certainly didn't help at all. What could I do? I was a hopeless non-superstar thirsty for fame. So I took a break.

Part 3: The Big Makeover

A few days after my return to Stardoll, they teased us with some spoilers of the Big Makeover 2010. The actual thing happened in July I believe. I can't find any proper pictures but it is very similar to our site right now, just purple. Stardoll gave us some items once the Makeover was done. I wasn't a fan of them so I didn't buy anything.

Part 4: Miss Stardoll World

In 2010 Stardoll introduced us to Miss Stardoll World, a new competition. They said who ever won would be the most famous doll on Stardoll! It was my dream but clearly it couldn't happen. The winner was perilice2 and she got her own Dress Up Doll and the one and only Miss Stardoll World crown! I hoped there would be another competition next year so I could participate, however when I came back it was simply too late to prepare!

Part 5: My Internet Is Gone!

I suffered with having no internet for the next 2 years and oh my, wasn't it terrible! I wanted to log into Stardoll and have fun but what were the chances? I couldn't. I had no internet! I had to say farewell to Stardoll, I missed so much.

Part 6: Mackenzie77 is born

In November I made it back to my home, Stardoll. I couldn't believe it! There were so many brand new features and my favourite had to be Stardesign Hair, I mean what would we do without it? Here's a picture of the first proper suite I ever made! The Titanic.

It took a painful 3 weeks to make but nevertheless it was worth it. For the next 3 months I played day-on-day, never stopping! I just loved Stardoll. I have made too many friends and too many mistakes (one of which was playing Stardoll in the first place haha)!

I can't lie, I'm hooked onto Stardoll. And always will be.
